Not only have I lived in Hamburg for three years – it must also be my favourite city in entire Germany. I recently spent two days up north, and am showing you around beautiful Hamburg in this week’s weekly vlog. Et voilà: Specialty coffee, food and more – my Hamburg guide!
Welcome to Hamburg, café Kropkå! If I had to name my current favourite place for coffee, breakfast and cake, it would definitely be Kropkå which has opened in May on Eppendorfer Weg. Read all about the new place below, and make sure to stop by and say hi to Katrin and her lovely team!
Since last week Friday my book “Happily Healthy“ is available in the stores (in Germany), and I used the occasion to organise a little book launch event in Hamburg. We filmed a video during the event, and I have a few photos to show you, too. Have a look below!
At a place where plants dangle from the ceiling and fresh flowers decorate the tables, where homemade jams are served on little mirrors and a carpet makes that place feel just like home, there,Café Y! I would love to spend every minute of the day, at least! Welcome to Y!, the newly opened café by Herbary Hamburg.
When Kühne invites four handful of bloggers to present the new “Enjoy Dressings” you may think of the event being as colourful as the images below. After some wellness treats at the beauty salon “Adam & Eve” we were flying high at “Sturmfreie Bude” near the Alster – and celebrated with salads, cupcakes, a photo booth and confetti.
That one sometimes does not see the wood for the trees I had to determine once again during the past week: After I have been living in Ottensen, Hamburg for nearly two years, walking down the streets over and over, visiting cafés, shops and supermarkets every day, I thought I would know my neighbourhood very well by now. Well, at least I thought so – until I found myself standing within a stone’s throw away from my house in front of the concept store “The Box Hamburg”.
“Lys” is Danish and means “light”. But it is not only vintage lights that one finds in the beautiful shop Lys Vintage on Eppendorfer Weg, although owner Simone originally started the store with lights as a top seller. As a huge fan of everything Scandinavian, she brings chic as well as functional and innovative design from the North to Hamburg.
A café whose weekend’s breakfast menu is just as overwhelming as its weekday’s lunches are and choice of homemade cakes, naturally shall not be missed on my list of recommendable places to eat out.
