“Happily Healthy”: All about my book launch in Hamburg

Since last week Friday my book “Happily Healthy“ is available in the stores (in Germany), and I used the occasion to organise a little book launch event in Hamburg. We filmed a video during the event, and I have a few photos to show you, too. Have a look below!

After my sister sent me a photo of herself in a book store on Friday morning at 10am, in her hands a copy of “Happily Healthy“, I suddenly realised what it means to actually have a book which is available in the stores. It’s certainly very overwhelming, but obviously it also makes me a very happy Lea Lou, too. Instead of thinking about the next steps and planning ahead, as I tend to normally do, I simply enjoyed “my“ publication day to the fullest.

I had planned a launch party at M.Bassy, a private arts club in “Grindelviertel“ in Hamburg, with Aurélie Barennes who made delicious sweet and savoury snacks for the guests: macarons, petits fours, quiches and profiteroles. My friend Johanna made the carrot cake and peanut butter cups from my book “Happily Healthy“, and on top of all that we were blessed with sandwiches and bread by Zeit für Brot. It was all so delicious!

My very own highlight of the night was my dear friend Antje Schomaker, who brought her guitar and gave two little live performances – both of which brought tears to my eyes because she’s the sweetest woman with such a strong voice! Thanks for coming, singing and playing, Antje!

A big thank you also goes out to Ariane from Brand Upgrade for all the support, to Ratsherrn for the beer, to Aurélie (obviously !), and to my dear friend Johanna for all the help! Also, THANK YOU, M.Bassy for the perfect location!

Alright, I’m going to watch the video another three times, I suppose, before moving on to the next big new projects ahead of me.

Lea Lou
