Obsthof am Steinberg, also called Obsthof Schneider, is a fruit farm located half an hour from Frankfurt. We visited the beautiful farm twice last year, and I highly recommend you plan a visit, too.
I found that, either in May, with the aim to harvest strawberries, as well as in September, just before apple and pear season kicks off, the farm offers beautiful tables and seating options underneath fruit trees, good food, delicious (sparkling) wine and fruit juices and, if you are lucky, wonderful live music.
It is recommended to book a table beforehand, particularly with strawberry season being just a stone’s throw away and people longing for the longer, warmer summer days spent outside.
