Last weekend we were longing for a little getaway into the beautiful autumnal nature surrounding Stockholm. Friends had recommended Rosenhill Trädgård in Ekerö a couple of times, so we opted for that on our day trip out of town.

Turns out, the 35 minute drive from Stockholm was well worth the trip! Rosenhill is a magical little place, situated in the countryside, surrounded by green and a few Swedish houses. It is a café, night shelter with a tree house and a few camper vans, glasshouse, giant swing in the forest, a flower field for self-cutting and a boutique for locally grown fruits and veggies.

We ended up staying from the morning until the afternoon, forgot place and time, just enjoyed the site, the café, swing, playground, the nature and autumn sun. The dish of the day, mashed potatoes, rocket, tomatoes and a stew from eggplant and mushrooms was delicious, and so were the sandwiches, carrot cake, apple pie and spiced warm apple juice.

Our kids were happy playing with their friends in the forest, and us parents had a chance to just sit in the sun and enjoy this wonderful friendly and peaceful place called Rosenhill.

If you happen to be in Stockholm for a couple of days, I totally recommend you visit Rosenhill trädgård, too!

On Instagram, I have published a reel about our day at Rosenhill, have a look here.

Love,
Lea Lou
